LiL Bit Lit Book Tour Recap!

LiL Bit Lit Book Tour Recap!

by Amelia JABEN

Hi, everyone! We've had such an incredible five weeks launching our books at events across the country. Here's a look at some of our favorite moments from the road so far. ✨

Serena & Lily was our perfect launch partner, and we made four stops at their stunning shops, where artist Raven Roxanne shared a reading of A Raven's Nest and taught children use color to explore emotion while creating their own "Nests."

Despite record-breaking cold temps in Summit, NJ, these kiddos (and their brave parents) came out 💪🏼 and were so sweet and engaged.. and enthusiastic about the bagel eating!

We could not get enough of this gorgeous setting in Newport Beach, California. Sunshine 🌞 and a huge crowd of storybook and art lovers!

These Dallas kids were so connected to their work—seeing how they interpreted what "home" meant to them and watching them turn those emotions into their own "Nest" was just so beautiful to witness.

Wish we could've packed this swing up in our suitcase—what a magical reading spot at Serena & Lily's Chicago shop. And we love how Raven's beautiful "Nest" paintings, which inspired the book, are hanging in the background.

She was so in the zone! ❤️⚡️

We also visited two of our favorite shops in the South: SOCO Shop in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Hub City in Spartanburg, South Carolina

In Charlotte, artist and author Susan Hable shared her new book, Shapes Today, and led a collaging workshop for children. It was a packed house and would you just look at what these genius little minds made?! BLOWN AWAY!

Most recently, You Animal artist, Becca Barnet, and author, Kaleigh Hastings, shared their book—and the behind-the-scenes details of how they made it—with a big crowd at Hub City in Spartanburg, followed by a reading with the curious and compassionate kiddos at Meeting Street Academy

Seeing children get excited about art, and watching them connect with our stories is what it's all about, and we are so thankful for everyone we've met over the past month.

Follow us on Instagram to find out when we'll be stopping in your area—Nashville we're coming for you next. And if you're interested in hosting an event, email us:

Hope to see you all soon!
